- Harriett was a keen servant dedicated to performing any activity with a spirit of excellence. She was an energetic member of a number of organizations that gave again to the neighborhood and used her life to make the world a greater place.
- This scholarship goals to honor the legacy of Harriett Russell Carr by supporting girls who share Harriett’s devotion to service.
- Any feminine highschool, undergraduate, or graduate scholar who’s neighborhood service-oriented could apply for this scholarship. College students finding out at an HBCU are inspired to use for this scholarship.
